In this 4-lesson online class, Ann Budd will guide you through knitting a basic top-down sock, at whatever size and gauge you want. You’ll use your own foot and gauge measurements to create a custom basic pattern, based on basic top-down instructions in Ann’s book Getting Started Knitting Socks. Beginning with a flexible cast-on at the top of the leg, through a flap-and-gusset heel, and ending with Kitchener stitch at the toe, Ann will demonstrate every step necessary to make a perfect pair of well-fitting socks.
Class recordings will be available for seven days following each class.
- Week 1: how to measure gauge, determine foot size, fill out custom instructions, cast on.
- Week 2: Heel flap and heel turn
- Week 3: Gussets
- Week 4: Toe, Kitchener stitch, and finishing
This class will be on Mondays from 5-6 on April 4, 11, 18 and 25 via Zoom. Cost of the class is $95 and includes Ann’s book Getting Started Knitting Socks.
